Privacy

Short version: we don't know who you are, and we've built the site so we don't need to. The one exception is the optional AI stylist, which uses a photo only if you choose to add one.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, logins or sign-up forms.
- No names, phone numbers or email addresses.
- No IP addresses or full browser details in our logs.
- No advertising or tracking cookies.
What we do collect
- Anonymous buy-click counts. When you tap a "Buy on" button, we record which item and page it was, the time, roughly where the link came from (Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp or the website), your country, and whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer. That's all. It isn't linked to you.
- Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across websites.
- Source tags in your own browser. If you arrive from a link like ?s=ig, your browser remembers "ig" until you close the tab (and a campus ambassador code for 30 days) so we can count where clicks come from. This stays in your browser's storage, not on our servers, and you can clear it any time by clearing site data.
The AI stylist and your photo
The stylist is optional. If you use it, here is exactly what happens.
- What we collect: your answers (occasion, budget, style, fit, colours) and, only if you choose to add one, your photo. Your browser shrinks the photo and removes hidden details such as location before it is sent.
- Why: to suggest colours and fits that suit you and build outfits from our catalogue. We don't use your photo for anything else, and we never use it in posts or ads.
- Who processes it: your answers and photo are sent to Google's Gemini AI to analyse. We use Google's paid service, under which Google says it doesn't use your content to improve its products. Your answers, results and photo are stored with Supabase, our database provider, on servers in Mumbai, India.
- What the AI looks at: skin undertone (to pick colours) and, if your full outfit is visible, general fit. It is told never to comment on weight, size or looks, and never to guess age, religion, caste, ethnicity or health.
- How long we keep it: up to 180 days, so you can come back to your results. Then it is deleted automatically.
- Deleting it sooner: tap "Delete my photo and results" on your results page. That deletes your photo, answers and results straight away. You can also ask us to delete them: our contact email, which is coming soon.
- Who can see your results: anyone who has your private results link. We don't list, share or index it.
- Age: only people who are 18 or older may add a photo.
Stores and affiliate networks
When you tap a buy button you leave Stylein for the store (sometimes through an affiliate network's redirect). From then on, the store's and network's privacy policies apply, including any cookies they set to credit the sale.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Buy-click counts (no personal data) and stylist results are stored with Supabase, on servers in Mumbai, India.
If this changes
If we ever add a sign-up (for example email or WhatsApp alerts), we'll ask for clear permission first, explain what we collect and why, let you delete it any time, and update this page before it goes live.
